Naples Airport sits just east of downtown. It is about ten minutes to Fifth Avenue South and Old Naples, about 15 minutes to Port Royal and Pelican Bay, and 35 to 45 minutes to Marco Island. The main runway is about 6,600 ft, which works for every category on this page. There is one FBO on the field, run by the airport authority. In season the ramp fills, so we ask the operator to confirm parking early. The airport asks jets to stay on the ground between 10 pm and 7 am. It is voluntary, and operators we work with plan around it, so plan a daytime or early evening arrival when you can.

Southwest Florida International is in Fort Myers, about 45 minutes north of Old Naples on Interstate 75, longer in season traffic. It has a 12,000 ft runway and its own general aviation ramp, so it wins for heavy jets, for large groups, and on the peak weeks when Naples has no parking left. For Bonita Springs, Estero and Sanibel it is often the closer airport.
BNA · Nashville International
Nashville International is on the southeast side of town. It is about 15 minutes to downtown and Broadway, 20 to 25 minutes to Green Hills and Belle Meade, and 25 to 35 minutes to Brentwood and Franklin. The runways take every category, the longest about 11,000 ft, and there is more than one FBO to choose from. Airline traffic shares the field, so on big event weekends the ramp and the roads both get busy.
JWN · John C. Tune
John C. Tune is the general aviation airport on the west side of Nashville, about 15 minutes to downtown and closer than BNA for West End, Belle Meade and Bellevue. Its single runway is about 5,500 ft, fine for light jets and many midsize jets. No airline traffic, one quiet FBO, an easy curb. On a hot day with a full cabin, some larger jets prefer BNA.

What a pilot would tell you about this leg.
Naples runs on a season. It starts around Thanksgiving and holds through Easter, with the tightest weeks at Thanksgiving, Christmas through New Year, Presidents Day weekend and the March spring break run. In those weeks the aircraft based in Florida are spoken for early, so a Naples departure is often flown by an aircraft positioned in from Nashville or Atlanta. That is why a one way estimate runs wider than a round trip. Summer is the quiet time: easier availability, and afternoon thunderstorms from June to September that a good crew plans around.
- Aircraft based in Nashville fly to Naples all season and need to go home. When your dates are flexible, ask us to look for one of those. It can lower the price.
- For a weekend in either city, a round trip on one aircraft is usually priced tighter than two one ways. Switch the estimate to round trip to see the difference.
- In season, Naples ramp parking is the first thing we confirm with the operator. Some aircraft drop you and reposition out, which is normal and is already in the quote.
- Summer afternoons in Southwest Florida bring thunderstorms. A morning departure out of Naples usually avoids them.
- Winter mornings in Naples can bring an hour or two of fog after sunrise. In January and February a mid morning departure is the easy one.
